CHANGE IN TERMS
It may become necessary to change the terms or conditions regarding your HomeTech access. In the event such a change is necessary we will display a message on the HomeTech log-in page directing you to this page for an updated copy of said terms. This will take place at least 10 days prior to the date on which the change becomes effective. In the event that an immediate change is required to maintain the security of your account or the Credit Union system, we shall notify you via e-mail within 10 days of making the change.

HomeTech ACCESS
Accessing your HomeTech through United Business and Industry Credit Union’s HomeTech interface confirms your agreement to be bound by all disclosures and agreements and acknowledges your receipt and understanding of this agreement.

In order to access your accounts online you must have an active HomeTech account established with the credit union. You can apply online.

The service is generally available 24 hours a day, seven days a week; however, the service may be unavailable from time to time for routine software and hardware maintenance or due to unscheduled down time.

ACCESS REQUIREMENTS
You need a computer, related equipment, and an Internet connection in order to access HomeTech. In addition, you need to install Internet browser software capable of supporting 128-bit encryption on your computer if you do not already have it. Modifications to the services in the future may require installation of upgrades to the browser's software. You are responsible for installation, maintenance, and operation of your browser's software.

It is your sole responsibility to insure your personal computer and related equipment are compatible with and capable of operating in a manner that allows you to utilize the HomeTech service.

PARTICIPATING PARTY RIGHTS
You have the right to terminate your HomeTech access at any time upon delivery of written (e-mail acceptable) notice to United Business and Industry Credit Union. United Business and Industry Credit Union has the right to terminate its obligation to provide HomeTech services to you upon ten days of prior written notice (e-mail acceptable).

You agree to waive and release any claims against United Business and Industry Credit Union arising out of or in anyway related to the HomeTech service, except for those claims resulting solely from the negligent acts or omissions of the credit union.

All questions regarding your HomeTech access should be directed to the credit union at 860 747-4152.

HomeTech SERVICE CANCELLATION
You may cancel your HomeTech access at any time. If you would like to cancel your HomeTech access, provide the credit union with a signed written notice or e-mail your request to davew@ubifcu.com

CONFIDENTIALITY
We will only disclose information to third parties about your HomeTech access:

Where it is necessary for completing a technical support call.

In order to verify the existence or conditions of your account(s) for a third party or if you give us written permission.

Comply with a government agency or applicable law.

United Business and Industry Credit Union HomeTech Agreement

Please take a moment to read these terms carefully, and print a copy for your records. By accessing any page of our online services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

  1. Accessing your account through United Business and Industry Credit Union’s HomeTech confirms your agreement to be bound by all disclosures and agreements, and acknowledges your receipt and understanding of this agreement.
  2. In order to participate in United Business and Industry Credit Union HomeTech you must be a primary owner of at least one active checking (share draft) account.

If you request additional primary or joint accounts to be added to your HomeTech access, you must have full signing authority on those accounts.

Only an owner or joint owner may authorize payment or transfer payment from any accounts tied to HomeTech.

You will be given an ID and PIN for accessing your credit union account(s) through HomeTech.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your PIN in order to maintain the security of your account. United Business and Industry Credit Union is not responsible for unauthorized disclosure of your PIN or unauthorized use of the HomeTech services by a person utilizing your PIN.

You agree to release and waive any claims against United Business and Industry Credit Union based on such unauthorized use.

If there is any change of ownership of any such account(s), notification must be immediately provided to United Business and Industry Credit Union.

  1. Access to HomeTech may be denied at any time without notice if an account owner removes an individual from an account.
  2. You understand and agree that United Business and Industry Credit Union may refuse any HomeTech transaction that results in a negative account balance. Your overdraft protection does not apply to your HomeTech access.
  3. The HomeTech access is provided free of monthly charges except for fees associated for stop payment orders and federal regulations (see item #13). United Business and Industry Credit Union has the right to change the fees for HomeTech upon ten days of prior written notice to you. In addition, United Business and Industry Credit Union has the right to amend these terms from time to time effective upon publication including posting on our Internet Web site.
  4. New Services: United Business and Industry Credit Union may, from time to time, introduce new HomeTech Services. We shall update this HomeTech Agreement to notify you of the existence of these new services. By using these services when they become available, you agree to be bound by the rules contained in the HomeTech Agreement.
  5. You agree to waive and release any claims against United Business and Industry Credit Union arising out of or in anyway related to HomeTech services, except for those claims resulting solely from the negligent acts or omissions of the credit union.
  6. The fees you incur for Internet access shall be your sole responsibility.
  7. Transfers from Share Accounts and Money Market: Federal regulations limit the number of pre-authorized electronic fund transfers and telephone transfers, including HomeTech and Tony transfers. You are limited to no more than 6 pre-authorized, automatic, or telephonic transfers from your savings or money market account at the credit union, or to another account at the credit union, or to a third party in any calendar month, and no more than three of these 6 transfers may be made by check, draft, debit card or similar order payable to a third party. If you exceed or attempt to exceed these transfer limits, the excess transfer requests may be refused or reversed, a fee may be imposed on the excess transfer requests, and the credit union may reclassify or close your account.
  8. E-mail: Sending e-mail through UBIFCU HomeTech is a way to communicate with the credit union. We ask that you use e-mail when asking specific questions about your account(s) or HomeTech services. You can not use e-mail to initiate transactions on your account(s). For transactions, please use the appropriate functions within United Business and Industry Credit Union HomeTech.
  9. Written notice may be accomplished by e-mail notice and/or mailings to members at the last known e-mail or public address.

Applicable Law And Jurisdiction
You agree that this Agreement will be governed by the laws and regulations of the State of Connecticut. Further, you agree that the Connecticut courts shall have subject matter jurisdiction over any matter of controversy relating to the Agreement and the use of online banking services.
